Freestyle Trampoline : Underrated sport that's making waves in networks
Gtramp, short for “Garden Trampoline,” is a movement led by teenagers around the world. These unique athletes, mostly self-taught, have connected through social media platforms, primarily on Instagram.
Considered a renegade sport, Gtramp combines the countercultural aspect of skateboarding with the daring of parkour and the energy of freestyle snowboarding. This merger is driven by advances in high-performance backyard trampolines from brands such as BERG, NORTH, GeeTramp, ACON and AlleyOOP Trampolines. Gtramp’s popularity has grown tremendously in recent years, as evidenced by over 235K posts with the hashtag #gtramp on Instagram. Participants share their progress through reels, fostering a supportive community. The powerful combination of social media and video editing, along with the dedication of the participants, has fueled the growth of the sport. Despite training in their own backyards, Gtramp athletes stay closely connected through videos and live streams.
Gtramp serves as a precursor to the “Trampoline Freestyle” movement and we proudly support this community and those seeking an alternative acrobatic sport. Today, Gtramp is one of the most popular international freestyle communities, with the FTA hosting numerous competitions that attract teens from around the world, including the popular GTGames global series.
